Meet “Mel” or “Metallic Mel”! 2015 grade Quarter Horse gelding - 14.3hh.
Mel has been a versatile show horse for a youth rider! He has been showing in ranch, English, jumping, gaming, showmanship and halter classes. He has been showing in both 4H and Open level shows and has $400 in 4H earnings! He settles right in at horse shows and is an easy hauler. He has all of the maneuvers making him a nicely rounded show horse - flying lead change, turnaround, side pass, goes over poles, smooth transitions.
He enjoys daily turnout and is an easy keeper on feed. Currently barefoot and is UTD on all vaccinations.
Mel can be occasionally spooky at new things he has not seen before and slightly forward, so only recommended for confident riders at this time. He is a well rounded horse that is ready to continue on with his show career!
